September. Apart from being my birthday month, it is also the month where parents everywhere inhale sharply (school fees) and then exhale slowly (no more play date and activity planning). Children move up to the next year, and get excited by all that a new school year brings.
Gently melt the butter in a pan and once it is melted, add the marshmallows. Stir the marshmallows as they melt.
Add the Nestle Golden Morn Puffs to the pan and stir through briskly to combine the marshmallows and the puffs. This step takes only about a minute and you have to work quickly.
Once these are combined evenly, take the pan off the heat and transfer the gooey mix to a dish using a wooden spoon or spatula. Flatten the mix so it is spread evenly.
Leave to cool in the fridge for an hour or so and then cut it into squares.
If using chocolate, melt the chocolate gently in a microwave or bain marie and dip the squares in chocolate. Chill in the fridge until the chocolate is set, then serve and enjoy!
This recipe makes 16 squares.
